1 Scope and Field of Application [1,2,3,4]

This method is based on the colorimetric determination of SO2 and is applicable to white sugar (General Subject2), very very high pol raw sugar (General Subject 1), cane sugar juices and syrups (General Subject 7) and to plantation white sugar (General Subject 9). This is the method that ICUMSA recommends for the Determination of Sulphite in White Sugar in preference to Method GS2/3-35 [6].
