Sulphite in Sugar Products by an Enzymatic Method

1 Scope and Field of Application

This method is Official for products containing low levels of sulphite such as are found in white sugars (General Subject2) and specialty sugars (General Subject3), with the exception of brown sugars, for which it is Tentaive [1].

If a choice is available to the user for the Determination of Sulphite in White Sugar then ICUMSA recommends that Method GS2/1/7/9-33 is used preferentially.
