The Braunschweig Method for the Polarisation of White Sugar by Polarimetry – Official (Reference) Method

1 Scope

This method measures the optical rotation of solutions of white sugars (General Subject 2) and white specialty products (General Subject 3) compared with the optical rotation of a solution of pure sucrose [1,2].
