1 Scope and field of application

The method measures starch in raw sugar as a blue starch-iodine complex. The method is applicable to all process samples but, as described here, is specifically applied to raw cane sugar. The limit of quantification of the method is 300 mg/kg with an upper range of 1000 mg/kg.
